It's Been Awhile

Evidently I haven't had anything to say in a long time. Hahahahaha... Anyways...Since the only one that reads this is me then I have decided to treat this as a daily journal.

It is time to get my butt in gear and take back my life. I don't like the way my life is heading and the only one that can change it is me. This time last year I was at the gym every other day jogging. I was "training" for my first 5k that I ran last May. I started in February and worked my way up to the 3 miles. I stopped running in July. I decided on Friday to go for a jog. I finally felt semi-decent and we were having a heat wave of 50 degrees so I was going for it. I didn't even make it for half of a song before I had an asthma attack. Since I am not prone to asthma attacks it was somewhat disturbing. The only other ones I've had were when I had bronchitis in November and at the gym in December. I would like to blame the frickin cold air slamming me in the face and my completely untrained running partner (9 month old Boxer Emmy) but I know that the truth is that I am totally out of shape. Never before have I given up and gone home but I did. That in and of itself tells me that I need to make a change...fast.

Where do I begin? Am I just going to start jogging again or am I going to revamp everything? Exactly how ambitious do I feel? Realistically I might as well go for the gusto and just hope for the best. I do not have the type of personality that can aim low. I need to change many things so I might as well make a list.

1) figure out how to start jogging and breathing at the same time
2) get back on IC diet so my body stops fighting with me
3) have healthier food in the house
4) teach kids how to make better food choices
5) find a part time job that works with the kids schedules
6) start sewing again...I'm happier when I make things for people
7) make house to-do list and actually "do"

That will do for now I guess. I am sure I will add more as the days go on.
